Someone decided to save the farmhouse, maybe sentimental, maybe to memorialize the former state of this once-verdant place.

They didn’t do a great job of it. True, there’s a facade. True, the chairs still sit in the kitchen as they always have, but open to rain and snow. The fact that we can see them so clearly suggests a building long beyond repair.
